Villefranche in a festive mood...  Villefranche, is in a festive mood all the year long : the NAVAL FLOWERED BATTLE during the carnival, the FLORAL INTERNATIONAL SHOW for Easter, during the summer MUSICAL MOMENTS OF THE CITADEL, and festivals of the Saint Pierre and the Saint Michel for the principal dates.

Gastronomy, provencal market ...  Villefranche sur mer 's gastronomy is based on Mediterranean fishes and traditional "provençal" cooking.  The provencal market is going on every Saturday from 8 to 13, at the Octroi, and in the garden François Binon (Octroi). You can find fresh fruits and vegetables (natural or bio), some fish, cooked meats, craft products (tablecloth, Provencal fabric …), local products (olive oil, olives…), clothes, flowers etc…

Shopping and antic market  Differents shops: Products of the soil, Olive oil, Wines, Jewelleries, Ready-to-wear clothes, Perfumeries.  Every Sunday (all the day), professional seconhand dealers organize a market on the place Amélie Pollonais (Port de la Santé) and in the garden François Binon (Octroi).

The guided visits  Commented visits proposed by the municipal tourist office and congresses...  ...Every Wednesday at 10.am (all the year) commented visit of the citadel and the old city (5 € per person, child until 12: free - meet at the tourist office)  ...The mornings of the citadel : every Friday at 9.am - from April to September : light meal at the Volti foundation then a commented visit of the citadel and the old city (8 € per person, informations and booking :municipal tourist office)  THE TOURISTIC TRAIN propose a commented tour - duration 1 hour - panoramic view Departure from Place Wilson, via the Citadel, the moats, the lower corniche, Beaulieu sur mer, and return to Villefranche. (Adults : 6 € and Child : 3 € - from the 15th of april to the end of september. and while a cruise boat calls at Villefranche)

Open air cinema  From mid-june to mid-september, in the Citadel : open air cinema on a large screen.

Boat trip  Come on board for excursions of 1 or 2 hours along the sea front, or a half day "meeting with the cetacean", from june to september.  Or you con rent a boat for your own program.

Sports  There is most nautic sports (oar, sailing,...). And the bay of Villefranche-sur-mer offers an exceptional setting for diving.  But tennis, and walks are also possible.
