Ursulines museum
Housed in an old 17th century convent, its collections focus on three main themes: local archaeology, ethnography and fine arts. Every year, five important exhibitions are proposed to the public.

Lamartine museum
Housed in Hotel Senecé, a mansion built in the beginning of the 18th century; the museum presents a collection of items recalling the life and work of the poet and politician Lamartine (1790-1869). Collections also include paintings, tapestries and furniture belonging to the Academy of Mâcon.

Berzé-le-châtel
Built mainly during the 13th century, it is the most important feudal castle of the county of Mâcon. From its square towers and keep, there is an extensive view over the neighbouring countryside where Lamartine loved to roam. Carolingian chapel nearby. Wine tasting on request.

Along the embankment you will find a path that will take you from the city centre to the Parc Nord leisure area.

Old saint-vincent
Cathedral founded in the 6th century. Today, only the narthex, the two towers and the intervening bay still subsist. The panoramic view point from the southern tower offers a fine view of Mâcon and the Saône valley. This building is now a symbol of Mâcon.

This classified prehistoric site, is one of the large caves to have been developed in Burgundy, with two caves, an underground river and an adjoining archaeological museum
