Stroll  Quartier ST JACQUES /Notre Dame/ Charité - 17th and 18th century.  With: - Houses of the 18th century  House of Feugerolles (17th century very beautiful staircase and loggia)  Church Notre dame (18th century). The frontage of Jésuite style was built during the 19th century.  The Charity (vault and staircase - M.H. - in free visit - very beautiful woodworks of the 18th century - staircase 17th century)

What to see  La place du Peuple : it has houses of the 16th century.  La place Boivin : houses known as of "François 1er"houses.  Quartier des Ursules : Beautiful frontages of the beginning of the 19th century. the municipal Market was built in about 1870 in the style "Baltar".

L'hôtel de ville and its square  Built in 1822 by Dal'Gabbio. On the ground, two allegorical statues symbolize metallurgy and the ribbon manufacture.  Salon du Cercle - M.H. (on the mairie square. The Salon is located in a restaurant, visits on RV)

place, avenue & church  J.Jaurès Place : Located in the middle of the 19th century town, altered in 1998, it is used as a square for one of the youngest cathedrals of France.  L'avenue de la Libération : built at the beginnig of the 20th century. It has "Modern' Style" buildings.  L'église Sainte-Marie: built during the 19th century, it borrows its iconography and its architecture from the néo-Byzantine repertory.

What to see  Châteaucreux station : Built in 1885 - 1886 by J Bouvard. The light construction rests on hydraulic actuating cylinders.  The Manufrance site: was built by Lamaizière between 1893 and 1919.. Today, this site is a business center, a Congress center, a Planétarium...  Musée de la mine: A trip in the mine on one of the largest 20th century seats of extraction.
