  The primitive site of Quimper (the district of Locmaria, XII 2nd century Romance Church, old priory, medieval garden)

  The episcopal city (Mesgloaguen Place, Nicolas alley, street of Guéodet)

  The ducal city (picturesque houses on the Place Terre au Duc, Saint Mathieu street, Saint Mathieu church , Rene Madec street )

  Walk down Avenue Aristide Briand and Rue Pasteur and cross the park (view of Abbaye Blanche and the town below)
  Walk down the Bel Air steps, turn right down Rue Alfred Musset, cross the Boulevard de la Laïta pedestrian crossing, go down the steps and cross the Boulevard de la Gare pedestrian crossing.
  Take the path on the central boulevard, go down Le Dourdu and take the footbridge, turn right down Impasse du Mitan, turn left and go up Rue de Kerampoix under the train line. Cross the industrial estate and the village of Kerez and follow the D49. Cross the road and continue to the villages of Queblen and Lothéa.
  After 200 meters take the Véchêne forest road just after the horse-riding centre.
  Turn left along the Lothéa road and continue for 3/4 of a mile before taking the second road on the left - the Saint-Maurice forest road - then cross the stone bridge and continue to Saint-Maurice.
  After the barrier, take the road opposite, as far as the pillars round the Saint-Maurice building. Continue along the Allée de la Rabine as far as the Abbey of Saint-Maurice.

  The Odet river is the fundamental axis, the reason of the existence of Quimper. Of course the Odet irrigates the city, gives her , this special nature. But it is also important to remark how the history of Quimper, since the founding of the city, is closely dependent and intimately mixed to the course of her river.

  Find out about the lives, past and present, of the islanders when you visit "Le jardin de l'espérance" museum.
  Re-live local sea rescue history when you visit the exhibition in the lifeboat house.
  Unwind on the sands of Paimpolais beach.
  Get some fresh air by walking to the Goulenez lighthouse, along the coastal path which leads to the Chapel of Saint-Corentin. Make your way back towards the village along the Port-Caïc sea wall.
  Another walk will lead you to the Pointe de Kelaourou

  the breton painting from XIX/XXth centuries, it is one of the speciality of the collection from Quimper.
  the innovative painters of Brittany: must be mentioned Cottet, Simon LeMordant, Maturin Méheut.
  the modern creation: is also present with Bazaine, Manessier, Tal Coat, Dilasser. A room is consecrated to the poet from Quimper Max Jacob and to his friends(Picasso, Cocteau, Pierre de Belay, etc.).
