Perpignan, a blazing town

 June 21st, Celebrates music.

 From the end of June to the end of July, the Estival ones. Music, dance, theatre Festival. Appointment impossible to circumvent of the various Mediterranean cultures (theatre, dances, songs...).

 From the 21st June to the 26th June "Festa Major" image of the south-Pyrenean Catalonia towns, the Town of Perpignan, in collaboration with many associations, celebrates the arrival of the summer a great week of festivities. Festa Major, the great festival in the honor of Saint Jean-Baptist, the Saint-owner of Perpignan. It gathers existing events since glosses, but also of other more recent animations created for the circumstance.

 Night of June 23/24th Fires of Midsummer's Day, celebrating the revival of the life, beautiful fires at the bottom of the monuments illuminating the whole town.

 June 25th and 26th, the Festival of the wine early product: celebrated since 1982.

 From July 15th at August 19th Thursdays of Perpignan (6 Thursdays evening) since 1995 music and theatre of street celebrating a merry rite!
 From July 15th to August 19th you will discover the SARDANE : CATALAN DANCE. The sardane is the most representative dance of the Catalan folklore, it always symbolized the will of resistance and national identity of Catalan people.

 As other festivals of music because in Perpignan it holds an important place: Festival of Sacred music, jazz, contemporary musics...
