The " pays de serres " is a limestone plateau situated between the rivers lot and garonne. it is a fascinating landscape of deep wooded valleys, escarpments and flat limestone plains.

beauville,medieval village is sited on a rocky outcrop  The medieval village is sited on a rocky outcrop and was the seat of one of the most powerful barons of the Agen regions up until the 16th century. Timbaut,village situated in the "pays de serres"  This village was marked by the passage of Roland, Paladin of Charlemeagne, in 778. Legend has it that the spring of St. Germain cured his troops who had been decimated by an epidemic.

Hautefage la tour, high hexagonal renaissance tower  This curious village has a high hexagonal Renaissance Tower in its centre. It was the first stage in the building of a palace for the Bishops of Agen, the La Roveres, but the palace was never completed.
