Couserans

Couserans is a Gascon country with mountains, hills, meadows, lakes, cascades and forests. Le pays de leze-arize

In this country, you will visit the Mas d'Azil, known in the whole world thanks to its famous cave. The access is spectacular because the river cross it along 420 m.
You will continue your discovery by the village of Carla-Bayle, surrounded by illuminated ramparts at night. It is a village of artists and craftsmen where you will be able to visit the workshops of potters, painters, mosaïsts, jewellers...
7 km from the Mas d'Azil there is the Marco and Nicole's farm of Moulis. They will make you visit their breeding of Angora goats. The wool is transformed into articles of mohair (sweaters, scarves, socks, gloves, covers...) which are sold in the exposure room.

Seronais & foix

THE SERONAIS: The Country house of Sérou is a national center for Mérens breeding, this small black horse typically ariégeois. You can also practise golf there (18 holes) within a beautiful framework of greenery
the COUNTRY OF FOIX: This country includes the great place of interest of the Castle of Foix where each summer is heald a spectacle "sound and light" which recalls the significant historical events for the area.

Tarascon-vicdessos

The small town of Tarascon, which is classified green station, profits from a very good climate with on average 185 days of sun per year. It is a prehistoric and speleological center of reputation thanks to the caves of Niaux, Bédeihlac, Lombrives and Cow.

Ax

The small town of Ax-les-Thermes is a thermal spa, built at 720 m of altitude. It has 60 natural sources whose temperature varies from 17 to 77 degrees. Its sulfurous water is effective to fight against rheumatisms and the affections due to respiratory tracts. Stays of re-arrangement are also proposed.
A public basin in the centre town, allows the visitors, to take a feet bath, really resting after an excursion for example.
Ax is also a winter sports resort.

Donezan

This country is surrounded by a great number of peaks from 2300 to 2800 m high. It is an island of greenery: the forest covers more than a half of the area, fauna and flora are abundant. mountain Lakes and rivers are the aims of excursion. In winter, the ski resort of Mijanes accomodates you and, accessible by walking since the station, the forging mills with the Catalan.

Olmes

At the crossroads of the oceans, Mediterranea and mountain influences, this country has an original nature that alternate between forests, coniferous tree and leafy trees.
"the road of natural curiosities" will make you discover all these aspects.
You can also find there significant vestiges of the Middle Ages, the "road of the castles" will lead you to Montségur, symbolic place of the catharism.
