  Seen from the walled city, but only to be reached at low tide from the beach of Bon Secours, this islet is the final resting place of the famous writer François René de Chateaubriand (Mémoire d’outre-tombe ).
  Either with sunny or stormy weather…. Soothed by a light breeze or wrapped by a powerful wind… you shall be bewitched by this breathtaking view which carries you away with reverie, relief and rapturous feelings… among the wild grasses and flowers.

  With its numerous shipwreks, easy to access, scuba diving in Saint Malo's waters is a tonique voyage of discovery and exploration. You will see german shipwreks from the WW2, steam boats from the begining of the 20th century and even a French meteorological ship.

  Is there any one who has not heard of this little parish resting on the fringes of Normandy. This rocky, wind beaten islet is undoubtedly the most prestigious creation of the Middle Ages. Rising to 80 metres amidst vast sandy shores, the islet is linked to the mainland by an unsubmersible seawall, built in 1879. From its summit unfolds a unique and unforgettable panoramic view of the bay.
  The Mount consecrated to St Michel in 708 was one of the first place of cult for the Archangel Michel with the Gargan’s Mount. The abbey presents a big panorama of the medieval architecture from the XI to the XVI th century.

  Nestling in the depths of a 25-hectare park, this perfectly preserved 11th to 15th century castle was the childhood and adolescence home of the famous French writer François-René de Chateaubriand. Described at length in his "Mémoires d’Outre-Tombe", the castle is a place of hair-rising legends. Let yourself be haunted by the tale of a "ghost with a wooden leg" or the one about the black cat that haunts the stairs in the tower!
