Embrun
Embrun is a town of Celtic origins. It was the capital of the "Cottiennes" Alps at the time of the Roman Empire. In the 4th century, it became the seat of a bishop and a cathedral town and from the 9th century until the end of the 18th, an archbishopric.

"les ecrins" national park
A vast territory of 92,000 hectares, this protected natural area belongs to a network of 34 parks registered by the European Council and harbours some 3,000 varieties of plants, 30 mammal species and 90 species of nesting birds.

Golf on the plateau of gap bayard
In the summer the plateau becomes an 18 hole golf course, unanimously appreciated by the specialists, who take over when winter activities end. The course combines the quality greens and fairways with the spectacularly beautiful mountain setting.
