Stroll in the old bordeaux
Stroll in the old Bordeaux : from the Saint Pierre district to the Sainte-Croix district, discover picturesque streets and squares located in a vast area of C18 and C19 architecture. Former religious suburb, the Saint-Michel district is dominated by its gothic arrow. The Saint-Eulalie district, rich in convents, is a reminder of the city's prosperity during mediaeval times.
The Bordeaux Tourist Office suggests a tour of the Saint Michel bell tower and the Porte Cailhau from 1st June to 30th September, every day from 2. p.m to 7. p.m.
On the afternoon, tour of the ENTRE DEUX MERS vineyard every Tuesday from April 1st to November 15th.

Every Tuesday from May to October , the Bordeaux Tourist Office suggests BORDEAUX DE VILLE EN VIGNES, a full day tour: tour at a wine shipper’s cellar, tasting lunch and tour of the lovely vineyard estates on the outskirs of the city.
The town hall district
Visit the Saint André Cathedral, UNESCO's World Heritage site, and also the Palais Rohan, which was a former bishop's residence and currently the City Hall.
Don't miss the Museum of Fine Art, behind the Palais Rohan, housing a large collection of ancient paintings.
In the afternoon, tour of the SAINT EMILION vineyard every Wednesday from April 1st to November 15th (or Wednesday and Saturday from November 16th to March 31 st alternating tours to the Médoc, Graves and St Emilion).

Every Wednesday, nine prestigious classified growers have agreeded to welcome the public in honour of the 150th anniversary of the 1855 classification of Médoc wines (MEDOC 1855 from May 3rd to October 25th).
The grands hommes district
Discover the beautiful shop windows of the 'Triangle' (Cours de l'Intendance, Allées de Tourny and Cours Georges Clémenceaux). Saint Catherine and Porte Dijeaux Streets are the two main shopping streets in Bordeaux.
Visit the Grand Theatre of Bordeaux, situated Place de la Comédie, built by Victor Louis between 1773 and 1780.
Every Thursday, afternoon, the Bordeaux Tourist Office organises a WINE AND CHEESE tasting (or Thursday and Saturday from July 15th to August 15th).

Visit the Jardin public with its botanical garden and the Museum of Natural History.

The saint seurin district
Visit the Basilique Saint Seurin with its historical and archaeological crypts (400 m2 of sarcophagus, amphoras and frescos in an ancient Gallo-Roman necropolis, visits every day from June 1st to September 30th 2006).

The chartrons district
Discover the Chartrons, former wine murchant district in the XVIII century, and the Garonne waterfront with its new hangars containing restaurants and shops. Visit the Modern Art Museum (CAPC), wich used to be a colonial produce warehouse in the XIX century.
In the first Sunday of each month, ride a bicycle through the town.
