The Castle Mount Thabor, masonry XVII 2nd century old, is located on a hill low height which dominates Bédarrides, close to main road 7. It belonged to the Marquis de Vaucroze.
The name of Thabor Mount was given by Don Pernety, founder of the sect of Illuminés of Avignon: It planted in the property a tree coming from the Israeli mountain, the Thabor Mount. Don Pernety remained with the Thabor Mount, in the search of "the Philosopher's stone"
In 1840, after an agitated past, the Thabor Mount became a relay of diligences. Its owner, Mr Poulin was buried in a tomb close to the vines, with the c?ur of his mistress!
