Aptware was created in a small village at the foothills of the Luberon by the middle of the l8th century. It was certainly inspired by the natural richness of this region: a superb variety of yellow, red, green, brown and white soils. This original and refined earthenware shows a skillful mixture of these colourful soils thus drawing patterns into the whole mass of the day. The most magnificent pieces of this baroque earthenware - like ewers, pots or tobacco jars - are embellished with monochrome decorations such as leaves, fruits and small Louis XVI figurines.
The Atelier du Vieil Apt proposes its fine earthenware: plates, dishes, soup tureens, vases, cups... unique pieces for their color, design or decoration, a profusion of shapes and shades, of patterns and invention to be discovered…

In the Luberon, quintessentially Provencal, you will enjoy all that the region has to offer; where sunlight, scenery and a warm welcome come together in perfect harmony. Close to the Foret de Cedres, overlooking Bonnieux – one of the loveliest villages of the Luberon – the Ferme de Capelongue offers a unique setting, secluded and private. This large farmhouse with it’s two pigeonniers and a bergerie has been entirely refurbished and features chic, soothing interiors of great refinement, affording a perfect blend of elegance with Provencal country style.
