The Field Count de Lauze is a family exploitation which exploit 10 hectares of Châteauneuf-of-Pope and 12 hectares of Côtes-du-Rhône wine. Our production is artisanal; that represents 260 hl of Châteauneuf-of-Pope (approximately 34.500 bottles).

The vineyards of the Cellier des Princes, which is the only co-operative on the Châteauneuf du Pape area, stretches over 5 villages with a very rich and diverse production: Courthézon, Bedarrides, Jonquières, Châteauneuf du Pape and Orange. Our wines are vinified with a great number of grape varieties – up to thirteen for the Châteauneuf du Pape. The main grapes used are the Grenache, the Syrah or the Mourvèdre together with a whole set of ancient varieties. Each plot of our vineyard is selected carefully and individually so as to elaborate our different wines. This is the key to the complexity, the diversity and the constant quality of our products. Our wines, rooted in their soil, always reflect their origins. And it is these very soils which give the different characteristics of our wines; the deep pebbles for strength, the dry and hot sandy soils for power and spices, the chalky sandstones for structure, the clayey – siliceous hillocks for richness and roundness.

For wine lovers, Le Domaine Paul Autard has a truly exceptional wine cellar which was naturally hollowed into the rocks by the Rhone River, not far from an ancient monastic retreat. A perfect cellar where the temperature is ideal and constant throughout the year.

The Castle Mount Thabor, masonry XVII 2nd century old, is located on a hill low height which dominates Bédarrides, close to main road 7. It belonged to the Marquis de Vaucroze. The name of Thabor Mount was given by Don Pernety, founder of the sect of Illuminés of Avignon: It planted in the property a tree coming from the Israeli mountain, the Thabor Mount. Don Pernety remained with the Thabor Mount, in the search of "the Philosopher's stone" In 1840, after an agitated past, the Thabor Mount became a relay of diligences. Its owner, Mr Poulin was buried in a tomb close to the vines, with the c?ur of his mistress! The name of Thabor Mount was given by Don Pernety, founder of the sect of Illuminés of Avignon: It planted in the property a tree coming from the Israeli mountain, the Thabor Mount.
