The vault of the College of the Jesuits had been designed, at the origin, to present the medieval and Gallo-Roman sculptures Calvet museum.

The Opera-theatre of Avignon and the Countries of Vaucluse since then constitutes an important tool for the culture inhabitant of Avignon.
The importance of its collections was worth with the Calvet museum to be registered with the number of the thirty-two French classified museums.

A.L.F.A. - ASSOCIATION OF the PLACES OF FESTIVAL IN AVIGNON - gathers directors of rooms arranged for the Alive Spectacle during the festival. The members of ESPARTO share their experiments and their competences, take their action around a charter of quality of accomodates companies and of the public and mobilize their energies to try to bring answers to the crucial questions that the whole of the professions of the spectacle is posed today: the place of the artist in our cultural system and the place of art in our company.

In the historical center, with a stone jet of the Palate of the Popes in Avignon, the Holy vault Catherine. The Black Oak - company Gerard Gelas settles there in 1971. Obtaining a place, Gerard Gelas completely dedicates it to theatrical creation and the music and in fact an opened place, of exchange and of meetings between artists and spectators.
Espace GAILLANNE is an association, founded in 1988 per Odile and Frederic Gaillanne with a group of artists. The objective is to promote the artists plastics technicians at the regional and national level, while putting at their layout of the premises of exposure and meeting, and by ensuring a support with the diffusion of their projects. Space GAILLANNE functions all the year like gallery: each month an exposure presents the work of an artist and makes promotion of it.
Created in 1988, the Gallery Pascal Lainé is devoted since his beginnings with the contemporary art. Gallery of quality, it is introduced there to an eclectic choice artists working in Luberon, but also certain foreign artists of international audience.
