Chamaret

   beautiful medieval village dominated by a fortress with two keeps which are visible from a far. Chamaret has a tower you can visit, offering you a remarquable panorama view of the Tricastin area. Two doors in the old wall are still visible (the Fountain door and the Northdoor , Caladun street).
  A stroll in the country will permit you to discover some shepherds’ shelters, lime ovens, a gallic oppidum and old stone quarries.

Montjoyer

Montjoyer


  Possession of the monastery in the 12th century, then of the counts of Provence in the 13th century, Montjoyer was exchanged in 1759 by Louis XV against some land contiguous to the park at Versaille. It has kept its circular shape of the ancient fortified village. You will discover the vestiges of walls, a vaulted street with its Gothic door. The Cistersian abbey of Aiguebelle dates back from the 12th century and was later modified . To the north of the village, you will appreciate the vast botanical plateau with its characteristic, pitted with holes “Montjoyer Stone”.

  Donzère knew how to preserve the wealth of its historical past all while adapting to technology. Donzère is a true journey back in time.    La Garde-Adhémar is located in Provence in the south of France (Drôme). The closest main cities are Pierrelatte and the crocodile's farm: 3 miles, Avignon: 40 miles, Lyon: 60 miles
  Since the village is on the top of a hill, you can noticed it from the highway down in the Rhone Valley.
  la Garde Adhémar is a provencal village. It presents typical squares, little streets, old gates, a wonderfull view over the Rhône valley, a nice roman church, and a lot of surprises.
