Castillon du gard - medieval village  Perched over a calcareous sandstone hillock, the village dominates the Southern end of the Throats of Gardon. The site knows a human occupation since Prehistory. There remains primitive agglomeration only some elements of architecture. With the XVI ème century the wars of religion will have disastrous effects on the village. Some monuments remained, can be visited and were restored at the end of the years 1970. Argilliers, peaceful village with the foot of the hills of scrub  Formerly under the guard of the baron de Castille, Argilliers is a small peaceful village nested with the foot of the hills of garrigues to 70 meters of altitude. This one is marked by the castle of Castille in edge of the road connecting Uzès to Remoulins and its old cemetery which faces him. To the XVIII, Gabriel-Joseph de Froment, Baron de Castille, deeply original spirit, undertook to repair his castle in the ancient taste of Italian inspiration, as well as the installation of a vast park around his castle, marked out factories placed according to a geometrical layout.
