  Housed in Hotel Senecé, a mansion built in the beginning of the 18th century; the museum presents a collection of items recalling the life and work of the poet and politician Lamartine (1790-1869). Collections also include paintings, tapestries and furniture belonging to the Academy of Mâcon.

  Built mainly during the 13th century, it is the most important feudal castle of the county of Mâcon. From its square towers and keep, there is an extensive view over the neighbouring countryside where Lamartine loved to roam. Carolingian chapel nearby. Wine tasting on request.

Old saint-vincent

  Cathedral founded in the 6th century. Today, only the narthex, the two towers and the intervening bay still subsist. The panoramic view point from the southern tower offers a fine view of Mâcon and the Saône valley. This building is now a symbol of Mâcon.
