Mont Bart Site. One of the links in a national defence chain which began construction after the 1870 defeat. It completes the fortified belt of Belfort by preventing its circumvention. The fort has several interesting aspects among which the most impressive are the covered interior street edged with the barack buildings façades and with a completely bomb proof room.

Imposing reminder (20 000 seats) of the great Roman construction techniques at the end of the 1st century. The theatre of Mandeure is one of the biggest theatres in Gaul with its diametral façade of 142 m of its 4 floors of tiers. Its total amount of accommodation was considerable for a secondary town such as EPOMANDUODURUM. Thus it was certainly a place of pilgrimage.

Sacre-coeur church

Sacre-coeur church

Erected in 1950, Sacré Coeur Church is unilaterally considered as one of the Meccas for sacred art of the 20th century. The baptistry and the church tower out of the line remind the Byzantine architecture. The portico of the nave entry and the shape of the roof remind the antique church's one.
Fernand Léger realized the 17 stained-glass windows of the nave and the choir as well as the tapestry situated behind the high-altar. Stained-glass windows from the crypt have been made by Le Moal, those from the baptistry have been made by Jean Bazaine, architect of the edifice who made the abstract and spartly coloured mosaic which decorates the main façade.
