Going skiing
In the morning, skiing. Skiing in Les Houches combines long desecnts through pine and larch forests within view of the spectacular peaks of the "Aiguilles de Chamonix".
The Arbre Adventure "La Forêt du Mont-Blanc". Situated in a wooded area of 3 hectares opposite the Mont-Blanc massive, some 40 tree bound activities are offered : Rope ladders Tibetan bridge Tyroliennes etc... The winter circuit is followed on snow-shoes and is always conducted in the presence of a professional.
Snow shoeing on the mer de glace
An experience not to be missed! The glacier is both beautiful and fascinating.Accompanied by a high mountain guide you will snow shoe on the famous Mer de Glace where you will hear the ice moving, examine crevasses and learn more about these incredible spectacles of nature.
Saint Bernard Kennel. The breeding of Houches is the most important of the Alps. At a begining, breeded like a guard dog, the monks of Large St Bernard made of it, in the XVIIIth century, a dog of research of the lost travellers.
Evening discovery of the station
In the morning, you will assist a hockey game.
In the evening, snowshoeing in the company of Husky dogs. You will be attached to them by an elastic corde. Guaranteed sensations going down the slope, thanks to the dogs.
Dinner close to the famous Piste Verte des Houches.
Mont-blanc escalade
In the morning, skiing.
Mont-Blanc Escalade. An artificial climbing structure including an heptagonal tower of 16 meters in height. Two interior climbing walls are at your disposal allowing you to climb after a days skiing.
Ballooning
In the morning, skiing.
You’ll float slowly and peacefully across some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Alps. Half day including preparation of balloon, inflating the balloon, a 1/2 hour flight and in keeping with this activity, champagne on arrival.
The "musée montagnard"
Visit of the "Musée Montagnard". The "Musée Montagnard" gives witness to the sometimes harsh way of life as it was in the valley in the late 18th. and early 19th centuries. On show is a considerable collection of objects and furniture used up until the 1930’s.
Paragliding. A flight descending approximately 1000 metres. You are guaranteed to leave with a memory of a lifetime.
Panoramic helicopter flight
Hover above peaks, scale the glaciers, soar above the valley - an unforgettable way to see the Alps.
Gorges de la Diosaz. A listed site, les Gorges de la Diosaz is an excellent objective for all discover. They are among the most beautiful in France and one of the most interesting curiosity in the Chamonix valley. The footpaths are well kept and the solid galleries attached on the rock face, giving the walker views of the torrent and close access to the waterfalls by following the narrow fissure through the moutain.
