Saint-Brieuc is named after a Welsh monk, St. Briocus, who evangelized the region in the 6th century and established an oratory there. It is one of the France's most well preserved maritime region.

History and art museum
The Museum of Art and History of Saint-Brieuc welcomes you in two pavilions. The first presents the department of the Coasts of Armor and the second is the place for temporary exhibitions. The pavilion of permanent exhibitions: daily objects, models, paintings, films..., make you discover the main features of Côtes d'Armor department, its history and customs.
