The famous villa la bluette
This house, most famous D `Hermanville, was built in 1889 by Hector Guimard. It is one of most beautiful preserved works of the large architect of the Art nouveau. One finds there an erudite overlap of volumes and lines, with in particular an astonishing forgery curved side of wood. The use of rollers and shells gives to construction its character of edge of sea. On the gate, the plate in enamelled lava bearing the name of the villa comes from the Gillet house in Paris; that carrying the signature of the architect disappeared recently.
