Visit of the church with a single nave, with three spans broader than the chorus, each of them has ogives crossings. General pace of the building is the same one as the arched farms of close Causse. The bell-tower combs, with 2 bells, is accessible by the door from the bottom of the church which leads to the platform then with the bell-tower (2nd part of the staircase is in snail).
Four vaults, the most beautiful is on the right hand side, dedicated to Notre Dame de la Salette. The weapons of France suggest a contemporary construction of François Estaing, bishop of Rodez from 1501 to 1529. Close to the entrance a lime of Sully, planted under Henri IV.

Ségur

Ségur

Sécurus locus = "secure Place". At this time, it was a castle of the counts de Rodez, built on a barred spur not far from Viaur. The church St Pierre was the old vault of the castle, that's why it has a dominant position.
Visit of the Church, to see in the church a flagstone of chancel (balustrade of the chorus of a church) carolingienne, located in the last vault on the left hand side. It is used as basic decorative for a nest in accodance located above the furnace bridge.

Old sauveté, seat of a priory from the abbaye of Conches. The village was devastated in the 15th century by the Lorry drivers of Rodrigue de Villandrado. The church rebuilt at the 19th century preserved its bell-tower combs from 1542, finished by an arrow.

Salles curan

Salles curan

Old summer residenceof the Bishops of Rodez. Old country house of the Middle Ages which draws its name from one or several rooms that comes from lords. After the purchase of the various parts of the castle, the Bishop Vivian de Boyer (episcopate from 1240 to 1274) made rebuild the castle. The current castle preserved from this time one of its construction, about 1442, above the entrance door in warhead with its harrow, the armorial bearings of Guillaume de la Tour. Three aligned towers flanked formerly the frontage; only the first one still exists. Salles Curan is the fatherland of the painter-poête Eugene Viala (1859-1913), cantor of Lévézou.

La chapelle de salars, du xiième siècle

La chapelle de salars, du xiième siècle

Panoramic sightseeing on the village. Formerly called St Martin de Salars. It is supposed that the first sanctuary, which was to succeed an old place of pagan worship, goes back to the wisigothic and mérovingienne time. Undoubtedly cradle of Bridge-of-Salars, the vault, altered in the 15th century and several times, is not unused. It is a place of pilgrimage for Salarsipontains on the Pentecost day.
