There is plenty to do shooting, fishing, mountain biking, ponytrekking or biking. Forcalquier is nearby with its monuments to visit and its bustling Provencal street market every Monday morning. Other visits of interest are St Michel l'Observatoire, le Contadour or Ganagobie...

Situated at the edge of La Bastide des Jourdans (alt. 400 m., pop. 1100), a 13th century rural Provençal village between Pertuis and Manosque, "Le Moulin de Marchand" borders a small stream called the Eze, in the Vallée d’Aigues, at the foot of the Luberon. It includes a main house on three levels, a two centuries old mill-house, a separate holiday cottage (Le Pigeonnier) delightfully converted from a dovecote attached to a former sheep pen, an independant apartment in the old mill, an old canal, a swimming pool and two fields, one of which is reserved for the use of guests.

On the first floor: 5 bedrooms, a living room with a kitchen, dining room and sitting room, 2 bathrooms and a shower room and 2 separarate WC. Outside: 2 sets of garden furniture, 1 on the north, the other south facing adjacent to the secured swimming pool, with summer kitchen, shower & WC. In the summer, we rent the whole farmhouse. Excluding July & August we can accomodate from 2 to 10 guests. Golf: 6 kms.

In Upper Provence, between Digne les Bains and Manosque, that charming 18th Century bourgeois mansion used to belong to a lower Alps revolutionary. His mark is still carved on the pediment ("The first year of the Republic") and in the drawing room the wallpaper dates from the year 1794 and 1795.(the "Directoire" period).
